Running on Easter
There are very few races on Easter. Lots of people would like to run, but it's very difficult to recruit volunteers, police and fire departments are short-staffed, and local governments don't want street closings to interfere with church traffic.
So, organizing a fun run would seem more doable than producing a race.
By the way, I had to stop for water on my morning walk (I usually run, but my knees are sore) and local water fountains were not yet operating. I was able to find water, though, inside a neighborhood field house.
Thank you to the Skokie Park Distirict for keeping facilities open on Easter.
