IT not THEY

"It" is singular.  "They" is plural.

One race is it, not they.  It will offer an early bird fee.  It will feature a new course.  It will use chip timing.

One running store is it, not they.  It will host packet pickup.  It will sell shoes at the finish line.  It is expanding to a new location.

Media and others often use "they" inappropriately, thinking that will make the event or business sound more personal.  But "they" is wrong.

The correct word usage is, "go to the mall, it has everything."
