Where is the race?
We recently received an e-blast from a race. It included pictures from previous events, the date and time of the event, and a brief description of the course, including the street address of the start.
But it did not list the name of the town where the race would be held!
The e-blast included a link to an entry form, which also did not name the town. From the mail-in address for registration, though, we guessed where the race would be held.
(We could have guessed wrong, though, and we should not have had to guess).
ALWAYS include the name of the town on all materials for your race - even if you think the location is obvious. Most runners are coming from somewhere else and may not recognize landmarks or street addresses (even local runners may not know).
Also, they cannot Mapquest directions without the name of the town.
If runners don't know where your race will be held, they just won't register.
