Visitors, not hits
When sharing web statistics with sponsors or others, always state the number of "unique visitors" to your site, not the number of "hits."
"Hits" is a meaningless statistic. A "hit" is recorded every time an image appears on the screen when a person is viewing a web site.
Advertising the number of "hits" is really disseminating a wildly exaggerated figure - and most people know that. It does not indicate how many people visited the site.
Far more useful - and more honest - is the number of "unique visitors." That tells how many individuals actually viewed your web site.
If you can't find that figure, ask your web host, tech support, or someone with web knowledge to find it for you.
