Medical support a MUST!
Medical support at a running event is not optional. It is essential for the health - and, perhaps, life - of runners, even in a 5k race.
Often, hospitals or fire departments provide doctors and/or paramedics at no cost. If you can't get medical support for free, then pay for it.
