Headphones OK, but...
Running events covered by the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) insurance policy cannot invite participants to wear headphones.
Insurance will cover incidents involving headphone wearers as long as the race publicly bans or discourages headphone use or remains silent on the issue.
RRCA recommends, but does not require, banning the use of headphones during races or discouraging their use for safety reasons.
