Sponsorship is not a donation
The sponsor must receive a return on investment.
That was reiterated by several speakers at a February 7 race director training session in Oak Brook IL. Nearly 60 event directors from Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin learned about sponsorship, marketing, social media, finish line management, runner expectations, and more.
Another training will be offered February 28 in Livonia MI, and race management issues and sponsorship will be covered March 12-13 in Kansas City MO at the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association.
