Running on the Runway

The 5k on the Runway, at Chicago's O'Hare Airport, attracted 1,482 finishers (not the 2,000+ reported in the media).  Still, that's a lot of runners.

Although not taking flight, they had a one-time opportunity to race on what would shortly become a new runway at the world's busiest airport.

The Houston Mutt Strutt and Runway Race, in Houston TX, is planned for next month and other races have been held to coincide with the dedication of new roadways.

Unusual venues are always attractive.  See what new ideas you can conjure up in your community.
