Eye-grabber
Here's an ad that grabbed our attention.
The photo displays what looks like a staff meeting of a presidential campaign. An enthusiastic, cheering group of people are crowded into a room, waving signs that look like campaign posters. The font and the design look like campaign posters.
But the poster says "Rundependent." Another shows pictures of a GOP elephant logo, donkey Democratic logo, and a running figure. Each has a box beneath it and the runner box sports a check mark (it should actually be an "x").
The lower corner of the ad displays a campaign button that reads "Grand Rapids Marathon."
The ad appears on the back cover of the current issue of Michigan Runner magazine.
It's non-partisan and professional in appearance. In an election year, this ad works!
