Why sponsors like runners
A survey of "core" runners - those who run regularly and participate in races - conducted by Running USA, identified a market of well-educated, fairly affluent, health-conscious individuals.
Here's a sampling of the findings: Median age is 41; 67% are married and 58% have no kids; 78% have college degrees and 48% graduate degrees; 65% report annual incomes of at least $75,000 and 51% more than $100,000 per year; 64% use the internet at least 7 hours per week.
This is a highly prized demographic. Let it show in your sponsorship proposals.
