Some race organizers have become interested in producing eco-friendly races.  While going green helps the environment, it can also help races secure more sponsorship.

Despite the deteriorating state of the American economy, energy companies are doing comparatively well, and those promoting eco-responsibility appear to be on the front end of a growing societal trend.

Try contacting these companies for sponsorship dollars or other useful resources.  You might put more green in the earth and on the ledger of your event.
