You ought to be in pictures
Runners love to view pictures of runners (and not just themselves).
A photographer for the Minnesota Distance Running Association captured the event experience at a host of local races and posted the pics for free viewing.
Pictures not only preserve a record of your event, they can be a popular attraction at race-related happenings. A projector and laptop can be set up at expos, race registration sites, post-race gathering areas, parties, and promotional events.
Sometimes, runners will even ignore live entertainment to view these pics over and over again. If you have an in-house photographer, you may only have to pay for the film (actually, for the disc in the digital camera).
