Three California marathons have combined their marketing prowess to form the California Dreamin' Racing Series.

Races often benefit from inclusion in series or circuits hosted by running clubs, sponsors, or enterprising business managers.

Partnering with other events draws more attention to each, attracts more media, increases sponsor value, and enables races to offer perks to lure additional runners.

The San Francisco Marathon, Surf City Marathon, and Long Beach International Marathon hope to enhance the racing experience for all entrants through this effort.

Actually, shorter distance events might experience even greater benefits from this type of collaboration.  There is a far bigger market for runners who participate at 5k, 10k, 10-mile, and other distances during an entire season.

Contact races in your area that you feel complement yours.  Combining marketing efforts may generate greater results.
