Weather problem
The American Heart Association was forced to postpone the 30th Annual Heart Run 5k, in Anchorage AK, because of a ten-inch snowstorm that paralyzed the city this weekend.
Most groups faced with a rare weather catastrophe would merely cancel the event, since product, service, and permit fees have already been paid. Staging the event on another date could be costly.
Race organizers in Anchorage, however, intend to hold the event on an as yet undetermined date. We'll be interested to see how they do it.
