The Capital Challenge, in Washington D.C., attracts many of the more athletic members of the United States Congress.
Last year, Sen. John Thune (R-SD), Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX), Rep. Bart Gordon (D-TN), and Rep. Jeanne Schmidt (R-OH) were the male and female leaders from their respective chambers in the 5k event.
