Organic races
There's been a lot of recent talk about green running. Here's a race that called itself "organic."
The Filthy Farm 5k, held last year in Blacklick OH, traversed a course within Shepherd's Corner Organic Farm, an ecological ministry supported by Dominican Sisters of St. Mary's of the Springs.
The course wound through trails, paths, and organic gardens and advertised organic cotton shirts manufactured in sweatshop-free factories.
ClifBar has long distributed organic shirts, too, and the run with nature may be a future trend.
