Running on a football field

Here's another race that finishes on a football field.

The Fleet Feet Sports Soldier Field 10-miler, in Chicago IL, traverses the southside Chicago lakefront and finishes at the 50-yard line of Soldier Field – where home games of the NFL Chicago Bears are played.  Each finisher can crack a huge grin for the jumbotron when crossing the finish line.

The Big House/Big Heart 5k and 10k, in Ann Arbor MI, also runs on the gridiron, finishing at the 50-yard line of the University of Michigan Wolverines stadium, where a jumbotron is also a fixture.

While runners may not be keen about finishing on grass, the opportunity to enter a restricted field and broadcast their feat on a jumbo TV is very enticing.

Your event may not have access to a professional or Big Ten stadium, but you can probably create other unique finish line treats to lure runners to your venue.
