More status for running
Some people may still think that running is an eccentric hobby. However, running is frequently seen in television, movies, and advertising. It is a routine activity for many 20- and 30-somethings and attracts participants in every community in the nation.
Newsweek magazine, in it's "Give Your Knees a Break," gives credence to the value of running with some excellent advice to people seeking a healthy activity.
While the majority of runners don't think about racing at first, many of them will participate in races as their excitement about running grows and the status of coming home with a bib number pinned to their chest increases.
Running publications do a great job of promoting running. It's nice when the general media does that, too.
