What a name for a race!
It's usually best to pick a name for your race that tells runners something about the event. The name could include the location, the sponsoring organization, or the holiday that is being celebrated.
Sometimes, however, it may be helpful to pick an unusual name that makes the race more memorable. It should not be too silly, but should spike runners' curiosity and make them want to find out more.
Here are a few upcoming races that may accomplish that:
Flirt with Dirt 5k and 10k in Novi, MI; Running of the Squirrels 5k in Marionville, MO; Dead Skunk Run, 1600m in Lac du Flambeau, WI; Kitchen Run 5k in Springfield, MO; Dances with Dirt 50k, 50mi, and 100mi in Gnaw Bone, IN; Hornet Hustle 5k in Hamilton, MO.
Use good judgement when selecting a name for a new race. If it's too ridiculous, runners may not take the event seriously.
