Patt named to "Top 20" list
David Patt, Executive Director of Association of Running Event Directors, has been named to the list of "Top 20 Moments in Chicago Athlete History" by Chicago Athlete, a running and multi-sport magazine in the Chicago metropolitan area.
Patt was cited for his 15-years as CEO of Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA), where he wiped out a huge debt, increased membership, developed new city and suburban training programs, and persuaded city officials to upgrade the lakefront running path.
During his tenure, CARA developed and continually updated its race standards, helping races to improve operations and provide a more satisfying experience for runners.
