Where should I post race information?
Everywhere runners may see it! Send your race information to local running magazines, local running clubs, the sports department of your local newspaper, Running Times magazine, Runner's World magazine, and any other printed or web calendar likely to be viewed by runners in your area.
Send the date and contact information to magazines now, so your race will appear in annual calendars published at the beginning of the year. Runners often keep these issues and refer to them all season.
You should send to these magazines: Chicago Athlete (northern Illinois, northwestern Indiana, southeastern Wisconsin), Silent Sports (Wisconsin), Michigan Runner (Michigan), RunOhio (Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky), Midwest Running (Indiana, Kentucky), and Missouri Runner and Triathlete (Missouri and southern Illinois).
Don't send to calendars outside your area unless you are hosting a marathon or an event that is likely to attract out-of-towners.
